Harold Rushton is a graduate of Nashville School of Law with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and is licensed to practice law in the state of Tennessee. Harold focuses his law practice in the areas of family law, divorce, child custody, construction and contract law. His vast life experience as both a criminal investigator and a general contractor has well prepared him to zealously represent his clients interests.
Harold began his career in the law as a police officer in Athens, Alabama in 1988 and later served as a Criminal Investigator for the District Attorney’s office in Jones County, Mississippi. He spent his final ten years in law enforcement serving as an Alabama State Trooper with the Alabama Department of Public Safety.
As a State Trooper, Harold was certified as a Traffic Homicide Investigator and Accident Reconstructionist. He investigated countless traffic collisions resulting in criminal prosecutions and gained vast knowledge in this area of the law. He also received awards for leading the State and Quad Cities Trooper Post in DUI arrests four years in a row and was awarded a Citation for Outstanding Performance during a hostage situation as a Tactical Operations Team Member. Harold still holds the record for the most DUI arrests in Quad Cities Trooper Post in a single year.
As a licensed Tennessee Attorney, Harold has represented clients in criminal defense matters, business and contract litigation, partnership & corporate litigation, construction litigation and various aspects of family / domestic relations matters, including divorce, child custody, alimony & support and orders of protection. Harold focuses his practice in the areas of divorce, child support, alimony and business / contract disputes. He is available to represent clients in Nashville, Davidson County and the surrounding counties.
